Andrea Navarro Quezada studied physics at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí and completed her doctorate at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU). In November 2021, she habilitated in experimental physics with her research on spintronics of hybrid materials. Soon after, she ended her scientific career. Currently, she works in the research services of the JKU Faculty of Medicine, where she is actively involved in promoting female researchers. She is the initiator of the FemMED network for female researchers in medicine.

Verena Auer absolved the teacher training program for the subjects of physics and biology & environmental studies and is currently working at the University of Salzburg as a doctoral student in the field of physics didactics. Her research focuses on promoting girls in STEM subjects, gender-sensitive lesson design, interdisciplinary teaching and learning approaches and experimentation in science lessons.
