Terms of Admission: Completed university Doctoral degree (PhD) in physics.
Required Qualification: The candidate should provide internationally recognized experience in the field of theoretical plasma physics. In particular comprehensive knowledge in the theory of fusion plasmas and related analytical and numerical methods are required. In addition experience in authoring of scientific publications and teaching in the fields of theoretical physics and numerical methods, the ability to work in a team and good communication skills are expected. Due to the involvement in international research in association with EUROfusion (Fusion@ÖAW) and the languages of teaching, a good command of German and English is required as well as the willingness for missions abroad. The position involves collaboration with the Graz Center of Computational Engineering (GCCE, https://gcce.tugraz.at/). This makes experience in interdisciplinary cooperation and networking desirable.
