Welcome at the Austrian Physical Society!
|Jupiter's Ice Moons - Institute of Space Science and TU Graz contribute to ESA mission|
The European Space Agency ESA wants to explore the ice moons of Jupiter for the first time and is going to launch the "JUpiter ICy moons Explorer (JUICE)" on its tour to the outer solar system in 2022. According to a common theory, the moons Europa, Ganymed and Kallisto hide oceans under their surface. These potential habitats for life are going to be more closely investigated.
