Awards for Special Achievements of Students at Higher Schools 2019

On September 27, 2019 the following students at Austrian higher schools have received awards at the "LehrerInnentag" of the OePG in Vienna:

Excellent theses in the area of physics:

  • 3rd Place: Katharina Isser (WRG der Ursulinen (Innsbruck)): "Die Konsequenzen der Quantenphysik für unser Realitätsverständnis" (Teachers: Mag. Thomas Möst, Mag. Manuel Franz)
  • 2nd Place: Johannes Wolf (BRG Kremszeile (Krems)): "Eine experimentelle Untersuchung des Mpemba-Effekts und der Faktoren die ihn beeinflussen" (Teacher: Mag. Dr. Klaus Misof)
  • 1. Preis:Johannes Windisch (BG/BRG Fürstenfeld): Der Teslatransformator - Bau, Analyse und Funktion des nach Nikola Tesla benannten Resonanztransformators zur Erzeugung hochfrequenter Wechselspannun" (Teacher: MMag. Dr. Michael Uhl)

Austrian Team at the 48th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Tel Aviv, Israel

Silver Medal:

  • Elias Hohl (Graz)

Bronze Medal:

  • Lucas Hörl (Purkersdorf)
  • Florian Moll  (Klagenfurt)

Honourable Mention:

  • Stefan Gradauer (Wien)
